PAPERMODE is a creative cultural brand from Malaysia.

We were born at a time when Chinese-language publishing in Malaysia was becoming increasingly challenging. We began with publishing, yet we were unwilling to remain confined within the pages of books. As words grew harder to preserve, we began to ask ourselves, could literature and creativity enter more people’s lives, becoming something to be touched, used, and experienced.

So we chose to step beyond the boundaries of traditional publishing and move toward creative culture and art, allowing reading to become more than reading, but an extension of everyday life.

At the same time, we hope to discover and support a new generation of Malaysian writers, artists, and illustrators. We walk alongside them, transforming their works into different forms so that words and images may move beyond their original borders, cross oceans, and travel farther into the world.

We are not leaving publishing behind; we are simply continuing in another way. In this rapidly changing era, we still believe that carefully crafted works deserve to be preserved, and deserve to be encountered again in time.

紙在必行 PAPERMODE 是來自馬來西亞的文創品牌。

我們誕生於馬來西亞中文出版逐漸艱難的時刻。我們從出版出發，卻不願只停留在書本之中。當文字越來越難被留下，我們開始思考————是否能讓文學與創作走進更多人的生活，成為可以被觸摸、被使用、被參與的存在。

於是，我們選擇跨出傳統出版的邊界，走向文創與藝術。讓閱讀不再只是閱讀，而是一種生活的延伸。

同時，我們希望發掘更多馬來西亞新生代的作者、藝術家與插畫家。我們願意陪伴他們，將作品轉化為不同的形式，讓文字與圖像走出原有的疆界，跨越海洋，抵達更遠的地方。

我們並非離開出版，而是以另一種方式繼續相伴。在這個更迭日新月異的時代，我們仍然相信用心打磨的作品，值得被保存，也值得被再次遇見。
